Toshiba Media Controller
A new interface to make content streaming easy, Toshiba Media Controller software facilitates media sharing between connected multimedia devices. Media Controller allows you to stream videos, music and pictures from a media library to TVs, mini notebooks, smartphones or media players through a simple drag-and-drop interface. The system allows media sharing on networks under one single unified user interface through Windows 7's "play to" functionality and DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) which ensures interoperability of connected devices in a home multimedia network. Toshiba Media Controller makes multimedia file sharing a breeze. Easily display videos captured with a mobile phone via a network connection directly on a mini notebook and stream movies stored on a mini notebook to a large HD TV (requires DLNA-certified device) without knowledge about network configuration and with only a few clicks.

ConfigFree's Wireless Radar feature makes connecting to nearby Wi-Fi networks a breeze
Connect to the Internet easily thanks to Toshiba's ConfigFree suite. ConfigFree features Wireless Radar which displays nearby active Wi-Fi access points in a radar-like graphical interface. Draw a line from your computer to easily connect to Wi-Fi access points. Connectivity Doctor analyses your network connection and assists in fixing problems, features easy diagnosis and repair of communication problems, and shows detailed network. Profile Settings allows you to easily switch between network configurations and profiles can be created to capture the settings in different locations and switched automatically or semi-automatically. Toshiba Eco Utility
Save mini notebook power with Eco Utility, a power saving application designed by Toshiba to encourage better energy efficient usage. Accessed via the Windows taskbar, once activated you can monitor and begin saving power consumption immediately. A power consumption chart can be displayed to show the increase and decrease of power consumption when the Eco Mode is active. The utility is designed to offer a graphic view of consumption while using the mini notebook, as well as a historical record of consumption which can display both power consumption (displayed in WH) and CO2 emissions (displayed in kg). Eco Utility allows the user to work in a power-saving Eco Power Plan. Once Eco mode is activated, the system works accordingly to set Eco-friendly parameters, such as automatically dimming the display brightness, disabling LED and keyboard backlighting, and reducing the time before activating the hard drive sleep mode.
3D Hard Disk Protection
The NB305 instinctively protects your data on the move. When it senses that your mini notebook makes sudden moves--from dropping the machine to picking it up--the HDD head is unloaded, removing it from close proximity to the media, and so decreases the possibility of damage. Once the notebook returns to a stationary state, the head is loaded back to its regular position.
Four levels of protection help to prevent a false detection--so turn on maximum protection when the mini notebook is unlikely to move--such as on a desk--and move it to a more liberal level when working on the train or in a situation where the mini notebook is likely to move slightly.Box Contains
